new year's resolutions

Here's one resolution I plan to fulfill: revive the sketch blog! (Never mind that I thought of it a week after the fact, and took my sweet time to post it. We're still in January, so it still counts in my book.) Therefore, without further ado, here are your sketches to ring in the new year...

Note how some start - and end - as just squiggles. I'm working under an unknown time frame. Still, a few points of recognition. Nose, hat, beard... was that hair on page two?

Planned to show the comparison yet connection between two people. He got off, but she stayed on, so she became more developed. At one point someone sat between them, hence the phantom silhouette beside her.

Would have loved to get just a bit more detail on that hand, on the left side. He was directly in front of me, a rare opportunity for some great foreshortening. Having fun with my marker/pen combo of general shapes while filling in detail, there on the right.
